Thales Alenia Space to launch a satellite Turkmen Turkmensat / Monacosat in late 2014 or early 2015 with the help of rocket Falcon 9.
Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) - US-based manufacturer of space launch Falcon - was founded in June 2002, the creator of the well-known payment system PayPal Elon Musk. The company now employs more than 3,000 people in California, Texas, Washington and Florida.
"We appreciate the confidence of Thales in our ability to successfully deliver into orbit the first satellite of Turkmenistan" - said Gwynne Shotwell, President of SpaceX. "We are pleased to see that the market is expanding due to new consumers and SpaceX is looking forward estimates of missiles, as the most reliable and advanced to customers around the globe."

Satellite Turkmensat will still hang at the height of 35,786 kilometers from the Earth's surface over the territory of Turkmenistan.

Originally it was planned that the first Turkmen satellite will be delivered into orbit from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center of Chinese missile "The Long March". However, this became impossible after the number of components was introduced in the U.S. in the list of banned to transfer to China.

Thales company had to find a replacement, and the final choice was made between the two candidates - ECA Ariane 5 and the SpaceX Falcon 9. The launch will be done SpaceH from the spaceport at Cape Canaveral.

The company offers the use of the Falcon 9 to deliver satellites into geostationary orbit at approximately $ 60 million. This price is quite low and competitive.
