Try doing it with normal internet explorer. I've had a lot of trouble using firefox

I tried to edit older posts, but was given the message that I couldn't, but I was told that it should work if signing into explorer. So I tried to sign into explorer but I found that I couldn't sign into the site on explorer. What could be the problem?
