I'm a padishshahsina or whatever it is at the minute, and was feeling more of an emperor today..AND THEN, I tried to change my title and the option isn't even there! What in bloomin'eck is going on??

Apparently, the title feature was overwritten when we upgraded to a new version. A few members are experiencing things like you just did.
I think we need to give it an overhaul in the near future and in the meantime, the closest title I could find to Emperor is Empress. You sure wouldn't mind giving it as a drag-queen for a short time? Smile

Well, if you can override it yourself, then 'Supreme Commander' would be my preference!

You are an Emperor once again. If you have more issues then give us holler.

It will change back though - the titles that were custom made never worked properly.

Usually Dolphins will find their end in a tuna can. You will end as a Padishah, a real better option.

How about Quis Separabit?  "Who shall seperate us"? The motto of the Irish Guards. I would have suggested an Irish Army regiment's motto, but err it turns out that everyone has an Irish Regiment excpet the..............Irish!

Lol, yeah, the whole military thing isn't really that big over here! Well, saying as my honarary title is coming up in a couple of weeks (if that option is still enabled), i'll add it to my list of maybes..I was thinking of something in Irish, but it takes so long to say anything profound in Irish i'll probably run out of space..And what's the point in saying something profoud if no one else can understand it? LOL

You want a custom title? PM me and I'll arrange one. And if its in Irish its ok as long as well its not rude. (ps I am a mod I have to say that **wink**), it'll look cool anyways.

How about Failte Romhat? I have no idea what that means except a friend once taught me that?

Oops, didn't realize I wasn't logged in..You can delete my other comment!

Faílte romhat is used to welcome one person - like how are you/Welcome!

In the plural it is faílte romhaibh. I don't think it's profound enough though! Maybe a line from one of the dream (aisling) poems written a few hundred years back..I wonder can I still write a bit, Fodhlá can correct my spelling!

Bhí a lán gaeilge agam cúpla bhliain ó shin, ach anois tá a lán chaillte agam, agus níl me sásta mar sin. Ach sin an saol! Tá bearla an teanga is laídre timpeall an domhain agus níl a lán rud le deanamh anois chun gaeilge a shabhaíl...

I tried my hand at Gaeilge but its hard to do here in the states. So, I picked up a few books and burned some CDs from the library...Smile

So far all I know are the pleasantries... But, Spanish has now taken priority because of availability (required for my degree).

Hello, Whingey mcWhingerson again.  My title looks like an introduction to the dictionary of wingdings for some reason..I don't really mind, but if you want me to change my title to one without fadas (irish word akin to description of agu in French), I'd be happy to do that.

I think you would have to give a hint as to what kind of characters where there originally... It is all chinese to me.

Irish actually. I think maybe the software supporting those characters has been lost in one of the recent upgrades. In this event you cast an accusing look at Denmark. Cur Northman and a fix.

Good Old sarcasm, really hits the spot!

Thanks for the replies anyways, i'll get in touch with North and see what he can do, which is doubtless much and helpful. But on the grand scale of things, i'll get over it either way Ermm

As previously mentioned, the new version does not allow for multiple choice of titles.
The current titles are remains from the old system, and the 5 step scale of post count stops at 500 posts. Each step has its own title.
In the near future I will give the system an overhaul and maybe expand the scale including higher counts/more steps and titles.

Even custom titles? Because I just looked at Dolphins PM from when he requested his title, and it comes out incorrect as well. Which is was not previously

I think the new version dose not support some Gaelic Charcters.

That doesn't make sense Ulrich.

Anyways, it doesn't really matter, just wondering bout it. Earlier attempts at writing Irish are muddled as well. Níl a fhíos agam cad atá ag tharlú..

See?

Sparten and Dolphin what Northman is saying is that the ranking system has had system bugs (Dolphin your group ranking is empress, by the way, and not the gaelic member title). What we are considering is improving the system to where we can allow for more group ranks that are not in place yet and which will allow us to circumvent the bugs with many of the older titles.

Dolphin your title is renewed to, Níl a fhíos agam cad atá ag tharlú, with one exception. English letters i, a, and u replaced the foreign ones.
