Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew the number of constitutions (total) that France has had since the 1700s. All I have been able to find is 7+several. I need an exact number, and I think it may be around 15. I have googled this, but found no help. Can somebody aid me?

5 republics, 2 empires, And a constitutional monarchy (the restoration). I would say 8.

After the revolution, not including the directoire and the consulate:

1st republic
1st empire
Monarchist restauration
2nd republic
2nd empire
3rd republic
4th republic
5th republic
