I will say  king    since Alexander wont be great without the Kingship

Something about Alexander III of Macedonia (The Great)

Is it true that because of him the world became a better place to live? If yes was He that Wise to plan it?

Or  he was Young and Selfish  at the same time he was  Brave and Ambitious and wanted to achieve a lot for his name Not for  Macedonia or anything or anybody else.

As I see it  his biggest achievements was to defeat the Persians and to respect their royal family and their founder’s tomb ( Cyrus)  and adapting some of their traditions so he can trust their side and get their loyality.

But the next five years of wondering in the desert and between the mountains pulling 100 000+ behind him to make cities to worship him and to reach as far as he can in the east...just selfishness

just a stupid and bad idea ( all that could be done while he is in his new capital Babylon and his Loyal Generals will secure the ex. Persian empire)

since his empire didn’t become a lot biggier than the Persian empire ( just the last tip in India which was the addition and it was small and didn’t serve him or his empire just made some allies which could be done without the wars and what happened.

Since the Indians were not planning to go more than India they will accept a peace treaty without problems.

After making his capital he could combine the Greek and the Persians by making all happy so he will get all to be loyal to him by getting married to the Persian princess and bringing his crazy mother to Babylon just to keep her away from people who hate her.

My conclusion is  he was the King’s son  so he will get the proper training and  the best education from the smartest people  and people will be loyal to him ( naturally) after Philip’s assassination Alexander found himself

  1. a  king ( thanks to Philip’s generals and his mother)
  2. with a strong united army ( thanks to his father)
  3. after securing Greece and destroying some cities he got a self confidence  ( thanks to his mother and his wise advisor Aristotle )
  4. defeated the Persians who weren’t ready for wars ( they were looking for peace agreements which the young and exited Alexander refused) normal for ambitious kings when there is gold and money forward.
  5. the rest was just a result of his self confidence and his early victories which gave the young king an idea that he can do whatever he wants

any way if you look through history you will know kings are not super genius they are just Kings who have Powers and some people loyal to them and  whatever stupid mistakes they make it will be covered as long as there is  money and men to die.
