The village of Fojnica (Bosnia-Herzegovina) today honored Italian members of the United Nations peacekeeping forces in this country who were killed defending the area from Serbian nationalists.

Flowers were also laid for several Italian civilians who unofficially joined the Bosnian army units operating in the area, largely to do their part to protect the village's monumental Catholic monastery.
