	Charles Edward Stuart, The Young Chevalier, escaped to France in September 1746. Two years later he was expelled from France in accordance with a provision of the second Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle (1748). The provision mentioned that all members of the House of Stuart were to be driven from France.
