The forum structure of Talk History has been changed. I, and the community, decided that it would be better to move from Regional based history (Western Europe, the Mediterranean, India & the Orient, etc.) to subject based history.

The new forums are:

  • General History
  • Ancient History
  • Medieval History
  • Renaissance History
  • Modern History
  • Asian History
  • American History

In the future subject specific forums (i.e. WWII or Victoriana) won't be ruled out.

No, it's not war.
 
I just decided that I wanted to take the site in a bit of a different direction, although the general history focus remains (otherwise it would be a stupid title for a site).  I had started a second Talk... site (Talk Cinema), but that never really took off.
 
I've been busy this weekend, after finally getting round to having the time to work on the site, and I've added some new features, such as allowing users to tag threads, forums populated by RSS feeds, social bookmarking, descriptive URLs, and a few other bits and pieces, like graphics.
