The 8th parliamentary election in Montenegro, and 2nd since independence, is coming very soon (29 March 2009).

There were already some serious problems, rendering this election full of controversies, questioning its very legality even. Accusations come from the opposition for dictatorship of Milo Djukanovic.

1. It is not known who has the right to vote

2. It is not known how many MPs are being elected

3. It is not known what is the body that shall conduct the elections

4. Fulfillment of minority rights to representation is not present

5. Milo Djukanovic's ruling coalition stipulated that party affiliation will be a criteria for employment in Montenegro, in its coalition treaty

...and also 6. President of the People's Party has been given a deadline of 30 to renounce Serbian citizenship, or else he loses the Montenegrin - timed precisely during the preelectoral campaign.

Two lists are forming up, an enlarged one of Milo Djukanovic and an opposition list (though nothing is known for sure, there may be two or even three), the Albanians and several lists that do not stand a chance to pass.
