Topic: Current Affairs Forum: why I need 100 posts? Posted: 21-Oct-2008 at 14:04
Dear all,
I joined this History Forum because I got information about my Google Alerts about a thread on Montenegro, which was posted on "Current Affairs". I had lived there for more than three years, still very much in contact with the situation in the country, and I joined AE to contribute to the discussion.
But surprise! I was not allowed to participate, and one Moderator informs that I need to have a hundred posts to gain allowance.
Why so? Is this "Current Affairs" forum only for the "elite" of AE? Is this quantitative measure taken as synonimous of quality of the member? Should I now start worthless posts around such as "very interesting issue" or "thanks for the explanation" to be allowed?
I just think you should reconsider this policy on the forum.
We are not going to reconsider the policy. As this is a history forum first and foremost. I have answered your question to the 100 post and you should accept it. Any posts considered spamming are not allowed, thus to gain a 100, you can look around and participate in our forums we have many of them. When you have enough, with input it comes sooner than later you are allowed to post in CA.
