I cannot post in certain topics and subforums? Is there any particular reason for this? What can be done to fix the situation?

In certain forums such as "Current Affairs", we do not allow new members with a low post count to post there to begin with. Only after a member has about 50 or 100 posts (not sure which), can they post there. The reason for this is so that we have people who join AE who are genuinely interested in intellectual topics, and don't join for the exclusive purpose of voicing their opinions in the Current Affairs section so much that it amounts to trolling activity. Hope this helps clarify.
