After reading the recent news about the initial rejection of Max Hell from St. Peter the Apostle. I wondered about the rigours of owning a bizzare name.

MELBOURNE (AFP) - A boy called Hell has been barred from enrolling in a Catholic school in Australia because his surname jarred with its religious teachings, the child's father said Monday. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070709/od_afp/australiareligion

Here's a list of other interesting names that would cause some form of consternation or another:

Dick Trickle - Nascar driver
Mike Hunt - (say it quickly)
Apple - child of Chris Martin/Gwyneth Paltrow
Moon Unit, Dweezil - offspring of Frank Zappa

Seems that the Venezuelans like to get in on the fun too with such classics like:

Taj-Mahal Sanchez, Elvis Presley Gomez Morillo, Darwin Lenin Jimenez.

The U.S. Forest Service is also taking part in the investigation. Woody Lipps, a spokesman for the agency, said one of the dumping sites was in George Washington National Forest and the perpetrators could face stiff fines. (from CNN)

Just one if found that was quite funny
