According to the classification of T. Tegin (from the link given above), it is more closer to Karachay-Balkar language of Kipchak subgroup.

10-group tawli has following subgroups:

1-subgroup qos:

a) il: Kazak and Karakalpak
b) il: Noghay and Halich dialect of Karakalpak

2-subgroup qōs:

a) per: Baraba Tatar
b) ber:
        1) jol: Karachay-Balkar, Crimean Tatar (Northern dialects)
        2) yol:
               a) kel:
                      toquz: Horezm dialect of Uzbek
                      toγuz: Karaim (Tranai dialect)
                      doquz: Crimean Tatar (Southern dialects)
               b) qel: Kumyk.
