there was a movie entitled "gallipoli", but i think that the plot is entirely different.

plus, its definitely not told from an un-biased point of view....the "gallipoli" movie i'm talking about followed a pair of Australian friends at gallipoli.

It looks like it will be better than th eonly Turkish film I ever saw The Man Who Saved the World, so hilariously bad, it had like random Star Wars scenes in it.

Dunno about the movie but I know about this quote.

"I order you not to fight, but I order you to die!"-Mustafa Kamal

Hahaha, you were unlucky. In Turkey,it is the film who was the most made fun of .

kind of nonsesical actually....the army isnt very usefull if everyone id dead and hence imcapable of fighting.....right?

No.The English were outnumbered, and Kemal Pasha said this to encourage his men.

And it worked. The English were defeated;but that regiment was all dead.

Yep,i have seen that movie of 1982!

Casting Mel Gibson ..he is too young there...

i have fallen in love with film music.

Last 20-25 minutes of the movie takes place at Gallipoli...
