Topic: The Forum Time Format Posted: 21-Feb-2007 at 18:08 |
I would like to ask you what time format you will prefer on the forum clock by asking you to mark your choice in this poll from these two options.
1. Let us change to 24 hours format.
2. Let us keep the current 12 hour format
The hours of the 24-hour clock run from 00:00 to 23:59 where 00:00 means the time of transition between two days.
The hours of the 12-hour clock run, by Western custom, from 01:00 to 12:00; but the letters (AM/PM) change at noon and at midnight.
The poll will be open until Sunday, February 25th at 18:00 - or 6:00 PM and if the result of the poll favors the 24 hour format, we will change the format.
Thank you.

How about a six hour clock, as in many countries, who seem to have been neglected from this poll?

24 hours would be nice, but it's not the end of the world if the clock stays in 12 hour format...

I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you! EDIT: Wait a minute...I think I just realised what Ulrich was pointing out - that Aelfgifu was confused about AM PM system...that clears a lot up, you see, silly me thought the joke was aimed at this part of her post:

I was just going crazy looking through my preferences, trying to set the time differently, I though something was wrong with my time... I guess I don't really care, but I was about to make a post in this area asking how to set my time back...
Well, good to know why it happened. But I want my 10 minutes of life back...

24 hour format is more convenient in my opinon, altough here in the US the twelve hour format is dominant.
