Avicenna was a Persian physician, philosopher and a scientist. He was the author of 450 books in wide range of subjects. Maney of these consentrated on philosophy and medicin. He is considered by many to be "father of modern medicin". George Sarton called Aviccena to be the most famous scientist of Islam, and one of the most famous of all races, place, and times. His most famous of works being the book of healing and canon of medicin.
I don't understand, on what bases you refer to him as an Arabic scientist.

Vicious people are the most dangerous thing. You don't like what I've say in one topic in (ancient Mesopotamia, near east and greater Iran "word Aryan is prised becouse of it's Hindic"), now you diged out all my post and thought you had something to have a dig at me. I'm sorry to say this, this is really pathetic and childish.
I have nothing else to say to you Vedam. It's good to know what you are.
Thank you

Oh yes i'm the vicious one , thats why so many people attacked your comment. Forcing you into your "i apologise if i offended anyone" quote, and then to laugh it off you say your going to paint your nails.
I think you are the one who says provacative things, and if people don't respond others willl believe it.
Remember i am not the one who attacked other cultures.
Yes you are right go and paint your nails

I was only apologizing to Zagros and no one else in regard to what Maziar was quoting me about what I said to him.

Maybe, but I'm not going to comment on that. I don't want to start a flame war.

Machine : You were bang on it. Avicenna as far as the name goes, is
Indian name. I would like to know from the Iraninas the names of his
Parents. Which might help in determining his belonging or ancestroy
Just a bit of info machine,
Avicenna actually sounds Indian word, I hope that Vedam agrees with me,
reagarding this. and vedam it will become pretty evident from
this response from you.
Any 10th class student will not find "avicenna " to be a pecular name.
"Avicenna" is clearly an Indian
name. Any Indian will make out that and when I came across it for the
first time, I thought he might have been an Indian.

Yep, we just have a tendency to "Latinise" names which really don't resemble European usage. Another example is Confucius, real name Kung Fu-Xi, obviously not an Italian or Spaniard

Ok, you would claim Adam and Eve were Indians too, if no one stops you.
The whole name of Avicena is "Abo Ali Al-Hossein ben Abdallah Ben Sina" which means Abo Ali Al-Hossein son of Abdallah son of Sina. Abo ali is an arabic muslim name, Al-Hossein, his subriquet, is arabic too. His father's name was Abdallah, which is arabic and his grandfather's name was Sina, which is persian. Now show me the Indian part!

Avecina is not an Indian name, it was given to him by western scholars, as they came in contact with his works, western people has latinise his name as Constantine said, and this has nothing to do with Indinas
