id heard that the szekely of romania/hungary might be descendents of petchenegs, and that a few groups in the ukraine might be as well. any truth to this?

Ggauz Turks in Bulgaristan, Greece, Moldovia, Romania, Turkey, Lithuania, Uktrain and Russia are descendants of Petchenegs.

Dr. Fethi Tevetoglu, the famous military doctor and Turkish nationalist, panturkist (3 Mays'ta yarglananlardan) is uncle of Tarkan.

There is a lot of theory anout the origin of the szkely people, but they are not related to the pechenegs. The pechenegs were a distinct group in the Kingdom.

The Pechenegs were heavily defeated by a united Byzantine-cuman army in 1061 and again by the Cumans 3 years later, then in 1091 Alexius I practically annihilated the Pechenegs. So id think the numbers of decendents of the Pechenegs would be minimal at best.
After that they were largely absorbed by Bulgars and Magyars from what I know.

Yeah, pechenegs alongside many nomadic tribes kept close diplomatical relations with the ex-nomadic tribes of the Bulgarians and Magyar. That eased their absorbtion into the countries of these nations.

the suffix of jan can come with so many name you cant take padjan as pechenegs
pech in turkmen means Heater . pechenegs is very likely to be a turkmen word yet i cant translate it

Thank you for your input. Based on what you have said, it is clear that you haven't read the whole paper and thought long enough about everything in it. If you had, you would have perhaps discovered your mistake in the conclusion you have arrived at and would not have posted your comment. But thank you anyway for checking out my paper.
