''Wounded Warrior Project chair on recovery from spending scandal''

*** I'm extremely disappointed with this...as a now 'former vocal supporter'.

The counter rhetoric by Ray Odinero's son Tony, smacks of the old time adage of and in the military that promotes cover ups when the 'rep' is in danger. Iow. 'shut up and hope' it goes away before the public gets wind of it.

I particularly take issue with this:

''From public records, CBS News found that the charity spent only 60 percent of donations on vets. Odierno disputed the figure, claiming the organization spends about 80 percent.''

Nebulous and obsfucatory bullshit. As marketing and promotion etc.. do not require 20-40 % of contributions when managed professionally.

And while I honor Tony Odinero's service and wounding...this is exactly what I reference above.

Tie that with the fact that he refuses to reveal the specific particulars on the firings of senior officials involved in the scandal, smacks of the same.

And as a service connected disabled veteran; I particularly find it obnoxious. This is, imo, very akin to the VA scandals of ineptitude and 'protectionism' reference veterans service.

My future contribution's, if any, will be to the 'DAV'. A much more effective and service oriented agency, than can be evidenced of late by WW. What others do is their own business...but WW and I now party company. And I encourage others to consider very carefully any involvement with the same.

Be sure you watch the whistle blower vids.

I'm ahead of you on this. Dad was a member and a case volunteer for the DAV.
I wasn't aware of any misdoing at WW, I just didn't know anything about them vs the DAV. And I had a decent idea as to how they used monies.

What a handsome figure of a dragon. No wonder I fall madly in love with the Alani Dragon now, the avatar, it's a gorgeous dragon picture.

yup. that's the bullshit that is akin to millions in bonus money to VA exec's...that let veterans wait for months with chronic conditions... hoping death will claim them. so that no effort to help them is necessary.

f**king pathetic.
