This is an unusual Coptic manuscript as it is written in Arabic:Coptic-Arabic Gospel, Institut Catholique Ms. Copte-Arabe 1, 1249-50 AD The Magi before Herod, The Massacre of the Innocents & Christ and the Centurion of Capernaum.

Like some 13th century Islamic manuscripts, all the people have a nimbus (halo) rather than just the holy. There are swords, spears and nāchakh, abar or abarzīn war axes.

Do they all have halos just because they are mentioned in Holy Scripture?

Yet the Innocents seem to lack the nimbus (because they were too young, or dead?). John the Baptist (also dead) lacks one, but his head is in a state of plummeting to the floor after his decapitation.
