Hi all.  One of my New Years resolutions is to read more nonfiction this year.  Medieval Europe is something I want to learn more about, so I'm looking for good book recommendations.  Some googling turned up this history book listing site, which seems to have some good candidates, but I wanted to ask actual people before picking a place to start.  Anyone have anything they love for someone just getting started?  Thanks!

Wow, that's pretty cool site.  Love that you can see the linear progression of time.  Some great books in there too.

If you're just getting started with the era, I really enjoyed "The Year 1000".  Essentially it's a look at the daily life of people around 1000 A.D.
