Hello,

    during the Russian civil war , were there any nationalist Kazakh military units , formed with the aim of Kazakh independence ?

Perhaps similar to the Turkmen/ Russians anti Bolshevik forces in Transcaspia.

But you need to understand that rebel movement in Russian Middle Asia starts at 1916 when was the biggest rebel movement against mobilisation of local nationals to war line in WWI.
It was defeated with big casualities, but start again with Red Revolution in Russia.
