Hollywood's depiction of Egyptians ain't the only absurdity that's going on here.  Anyone who has read my posts in the Americas Forum knows I'm a diffusionist.  They would also know I very much agree that there was considerable precolumbian contact with the African continent. However, this person makes the jump to Africans being the first inhabitants of the Americas. Tongue He uses the many African appearing sculptures as his evidence.

There are just as many artworks showing contact with China and Japan, as well as Caucasian folks.

Contact does not translate to colonization or origination.  It is also a 2 way street.  Cultural influence traveled both ways.

This person needs to pay attention to authors other than Clyde Winters.

Go to his blog, it's great comedic relief.Wink

Great, the afrocentrists are back!

Ever seen Braveheart? William Wallace, born around 1270, had an affair with isabella of France, the wife of Edward II. Isabella was born around 1295, her son Edward III in november 1312. Following Braveheart, Wallace had a love affair around 1297 or maybe even only in 1305 with Isabella, who was then between 2 and 10. I suppose Sophie Marceau was not the best actress for such person. When Wallace was tortured to death in August 1305, isabella (10 years old), told the dying Edward I (who really died in 1307), that she gets a baby from Wallace, namely Edward III (born in 1312).

Great isn't it? And you complain about some skin colours. Who should have played ramses, Ice Cube, Puff Diddy or how ever he calls himself now, Morgan Freeman, Will Smith or Dennis Rodman?
Maybe they tried to get some Egyptian actors, but Egyptians don't get visa for the USA :D

You would expect different from the folks who cast John Wayne as Genghis Kahn?

Not quite...though that was good.

I would have expected the liberals and socialists in 'tinkertown' would have supported their façade of alien immigration amnesty (which is really a cover for cheap laborers to do their gardening, cooking and housekeeping)and their expressed undying love for eeo-aa-rr. To at least have hired a 'token' appearing North African, possibly a Mexican America etc. Or African American.

Morgan Freedom would have been excellent.

So much for the legitimacy of their concerns for social agendas and representation.

Otoh, this is the same crowd who had whites playing Indians for 45 years plus.

So the old goat is correct....or let me put it another way what the fuc did you expect.

Historical accuracy? And the same representative?

You need to come over and take a pain pill at my hogan..all then will be well.

Yet again, Hollywood has depicted the ancient Egyptians as White in the movie Exodus: Gods and Kings, despite all of the objective evidence against this ridiculous notion.

Directed by Ridley Scott of Gladiator fame  and staring Joel Edgerton as the Egyptian pharaoh Ramesses, and Christian Bale as the prophet Moses; it is an interpretation of the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt as led by Moses and related in the Old Testament Book of Exodus.

Joel Edgerton who plays the Egyptian pharaoh Ramesses couldn’t be more European in appearance, looking as though he would be more at home playing a role in a Polish movie than one about an ancient North African king. He simply looks way out of place and totally absurd, at least to the honest and educated. What’s more, none of the other Egyptians in the movie appear to be Black, although admittedly, I haven’t seen the full movie yet.

This epic has a top line up too, and also stars the likes of Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley, and by the looks of it no money has been spared in the production of this mindboggling trash.
