Hi there,

I'm hoping someone can help me out - I work at a library in Canada, and one of my patrons *vaguely* remembers a Greek song her grandmother used to sing to her as a child. She's not sure of spelling, but the chorus repeated a name that sounded like "Madelow" or "Madalow." She thinks it may have been a WWI-era song, but isn't sure.

I know this is awfully vague, but thanks for any help anyone can provide!

Can't get more traditional than that.....Clap
αἰὲν ἀριστεύειν
Een aristevin
“Ever to Excel“
From Homer's Iliad (8th century BC).
Motto of the University of St Andrews (founded 1410), the Edinburgh Academy (founded 1824) and others.
