I just listen the words Sidney.

The ancient Egyptians believed their creator god swallowed his own semen and brought forth the universe.

The Hebrew sky god Yahwah lay upon the feminine waters and brought forth creation. Yet the sky lies between the waters above and the waters below, hence creation is enclosed within the womb of the great water mother.

In Greek myth the earth Gaia is the great mother from whom life is engendered, and into whom all evils are confined. Her consort, the sky god Uranus, was castrated and his genitals thrown into the sea (the water goddess' womb) from whence was born Aphrodite, the goddess of love and sexual generation without whom no life would exist.

Eden, the home of Adam and Eve, fed the world with its four great rivers. Noah was saved by floating on the water, as was Moses. The Israelites were spared by the separation of the waters of the Red Sea, and the prophets of God could cause drought or bring a downpour with a prayer. But Jesus walked upon the waters of Lake Galilee and turned water into wine. He trod upon the water goddess and replaced her with wine as the sacred drink.

Vishnu is not hermaphrodite, but he is sometimes combined with his consort Lakshmi in order to display the principals of non-duality between the male and female energies of the universe. As a combination, Vishnu/Lakshmi is called Lakshminarayan or Vasudeva-Kamalaja. Such a depiction is however thought to only date from the last 1,000 years or so, and to have originated in Nepal from Buddhist influences.

Is it?Did they make remake of history Sidney?Copy&Paste,like all religions today.Old God had no statue(except among the "Greeks").They could have putted any statue inside old temples and had said it was there from the beginning.
