Topic: Old and new members Posted: 12-May-2011 at 23:14 |
It's a real pleasure to see old members returning and new members appearing. As staff... we encourage you all to promote our site and let friends elsewhere.. know we are here and would be pleased to see them join the AE family. Many have already done this and I thank you for your efforts. CV

Thank you very much. When asking lots of people which site they would choose Allempires or Historum by having a look to see what was best, every single one of them picked Historum. Oooo what a rebel I am.

As a founding member of historum i too would have chosen it over allempires a year ago. However, now that Pericles has gone i fear it has entered a decline. The new admins are exploitative assholes who don't care about history or the wellbeing of their members, and ban anyone who criticises them. Their crimes include paying moderators to post commercial links in topics and introducing excessive advertising, while their demand for valid email addresses could indicate desire to sell on members' details to third-parties in the future (both Commander and Pericles were happy with newbies using the address "member at historum dot com"). Sooner or later historum's members will see the new admins for the scum they are and look for new pastures

I am, on the other hand, not too happy about it! I see only possible enemies and few supporters!
But, that is no different than what I expect anywhere!
So, welcome aboard!

Ignore Ron.
Whose attempts at wit sometimes does himself more disservice then those to which it is directed...for what ever reason.
Welcome back.

Well, I would hope that at least some of you would ignore the derisive words displayed above by "CV!"
Why he choses to be so insulting to me, is a "wonder"! If I have ever said anything of insulting content towards this man or woman, it would have to be his/her instant conversion into a major player and power onto this site, where I have been posting for over one year!
While I would rather be upon good terms with personages like CV, his/her attitude, makes me reconsider my desires.
If an enemy he/she desires, then he/she might well get it?
But, unlike her/him I am bigger than that!
So I welcome his/her contributions and vigilance upon this site with open arms!
Regards,

Those words directed towards Nick and consequently the forum at large were rude and trolling. Ya remember what you were told about another incident of trolling Ron. Contextually this had no part or place in a justifiable courtsey greeting towards a fellow member coming back to the board.

More trolling.

Dear CV, in your quote above it seems that you accidently failed to post these words which were directed to you, and you only;
"So I welcome his/her contributions and "vigilance" upon this site with open arms!"
If that is an example of "trolling" then I am quilty as charged.
I only hope peace and goodwill between us!
Regards,

More trolling Ron just by virtue you keep bringing it and comming back to an issue already resolved with your suspension and then reinstatement. One more and it's sixty days. Get on with productive contributions or ya vactioning again. Period.

Alright this is getting annoying a little while back I had one account stop working. Ok, I moved on. Now that I made this new account I've been put back to 1 star twice. So come on.

Will relay this to Red Clay for a response.
Be patient as I am sure he will do just that.

For some it is word of mouth...othere were here, left and returned. Some were looking for a history blog or forum and found this one. It all depends.
But you are welcome here.
