Stars Valley

I had posted some pics of this valley and some other ones in Qeshm island in this thread: http://www.allempires.net/forum_posts.asp?TID=25600

Another interesting valley in Qeshm island is Chahkuh valley:

The Grand Canyon, Arizona, USA

I really love this one, there are some valleys in Iran whcih can be compared with it, of course not as great as the Grand Canyon, like Shamkhal valley in the northeast of Iran:

That volcanic rift looks amazing. Thumbs Up

One valley I'd like to visit is the Verdon Gorge, aka Grand Canyon (in French) and its incredibly turqoise water, in Provence:

The Rapa valley in Sarek National Park I'd like to visit too.

Or in autumn colours:

Amazing photos, Cyrus and Styrbiorn! Many thanks for posting. Styrbiorn - the Verdon Gorge is indeed very beautiful (especially the water colour) but be sure to take sickness tablets when driving around the endless bends and windy roads.

Here are some comprable geological formations in Australia:

Katherine Gorge, NT

I'll post some more, soon Smile

Thanks for your contribution!

Verdon Gorge in France is also similar to Gahar in Luristan province of Iran:

Those photographs you posted of Gahar remind me of Milford Sound in New Zealand, a truly beautiful location.
