Origin: Kim Hong Do (kr)

Name: Ssirum

Description: Shows the korean wrestling match, and its excitements.

---

So here's the deal.  There is one and only one error in the drawing.  It is intentional, and some of you artists would appreciate the intentional error he had made.  It is so intentional that ironically it looks natural!

Well, what are you waiting for?  Start Guessing!

Grrr..

And that's not the error sorry

the picture is kind of small too, so hopefully the error is large

also, I don't know how old the belt system is, but since they seem to be wearing familiar doboks (gis) there probably should be some belt holding them, if not to serve all the same functions (rank identification) belts do in modern Korean martial arts....

    sorry guys...

it's the guy at the bottom centre of the painting....he's wearing a que, a hairstyle of the Manchus and Qing China. Unless he's an envoy from China, he shouldn't be there.

Nope.    You all disappoint me.

Hint: The error is physical (something like 3 eye, 4 legs).

it's the guy at the bottom centre of the painting....he's wearing a que, a hairstyle of the Manchus and Qing China. Unless he's an envoy from China, he shouldn't be there.

Actually he has the hair above forehead intact.  Koreans had to grow their hair and tie it because accordign to Confucious ideals it was a sin to trash something inherited from their ancestors- like hair.  Like wasn't it Cao Cao who cut his hair when he broke his promise, which was supposed to be punished with death?

i think this is impossible...i always hated these things when i was little..."spot the difference"

the picture is kind of small too, so hopefully the error is large

Like what I told you- it's so natural that it's hard to notice such error.  But if you ever sat on the floor to watch a spectacle on middle, you'll realize the error.

Na they're probably Korean hats, jsut look like Sombreros.

Yup.  French used to stereotype Koreans for wearing infantile large hats and extremely untidy clothes

Is it the use of fans by males?

Nope.  Anyone who could afford fans used fans

It seems the sparring partners have neither footware nor toes.

Nope- they are wearing socks- traditional korean socks- notice the sharp edges like dutch wooden shoes

also, I don't know how old the belt system is, but since they seem to be wearing familiar doboks (gis) there probably should be some belt holding them, if not to serve all the same functions (rank identification) belts do in modern Korean martial arts....

sorry.  Nothing about that

There are only 3 shoes on the side instead of four?

Nope.  I don't think its that significant

Grrr..
