There is an excellent book called "The Court of the Caliphs - When Baghdad Ruled the Muslim World" by Hugh Kennedy (Pub: UK by Weidenfled & Nicolson 2004).
 
It focuses on the Abbasid Caliphs from the time of the revolution in 750 till the death of Muqtadir c.932.

Harun Al-Rashid was one of the greatest Abbasid Caliphs. Harun Al-Rashid were also depicted in the 1001 Nights Tales.
 
I want to know more about this Caliph.
