Ivan the Terrible! He was one crazy bastard! Why he is my favorite? Actually because I like Muscovy/Russia in this time period a lot, including reading about the diffrent tsars/rulers.

King Louis IX of France, aka St.Louis, always seemed a bit loony to me. At least I hope he was truly mad. I wouldn't like to find out that he was simply an idiot.

Santa Anna was not a royalty member.
He tried by every possible means to create his royal house.
Even, while he was a young brigadier of 30 years, Santa Anna flirted with Emperor's Iturbide sister of 60 years old.

Most kings of the swedish Wasa-dynasty were nuts. Gustav Wasa, Erik XIV, Johan III, Sigismund, Karl IX - all of them were weird in some way. Most of them had incontrollable rage and paranoia. One of the princes - Magnus - even died of pneumonia which he suffered from an incident when he threw himself in a pond believing that a mermaid was calling on him... The only one who seems to have been mentally stable in the family was Gustavus Adolphus the great

Frederick Wilhelm I. of Prussia was not crazy, at the time it was believed that taller men could reload muskets faster, and thus was establishing an elite bataillon of 2m+ tall men, but the advantage was rather marginal so it was not picked up by other monarchs and not cotninued to his sucessor Frederick II.
