Not Valkyrie, they were horse mounted. I think it is a neo-classical
representation and Nike would be a logical explanation (winged goddess
of victory).

As for the type of vessel...do you have any more images of it?
Perhaps a side view? It looks a lot like the bow of a submarine,
but the bridge and the horns negate the possibility.

the figure is either Victoria or Germania, the ship is probably no battleship at all, due to the bridge (too many windows). but then, the turret looks pretty large. and it's almost definately no WW2 vessel, prolly even pre-WW1. that's all my coleauges could find out yet.

don't you have more info, like other pics? some say it could be the Hood or another British ship, but most definately no German WW2 ship. should be WW1 or pre-ww1.

Looking at the bridge, its easy to see it is pre-ww1 U.S.

My first thought was Germania too (that's not a goddess though, just some personification of Germany). Guess it's just miss Liberty then.

not sure, will take more looking into about the ship but it could be Nike with a sword. She rode the bow of a ship.

I'm pretty sure they didn't live all their lives on horseback
