QuoteReplyTopic: Men's evil nature part of the Renissance spirit? Posted: 16-Sep-2006 at 14:47
Hi, I was reading The Prince for a history paper I am writing. It discusss men's evil nature and how self-interest is one of the main aims of human existance. Now, one of the questions asks to discuss how The Prince fits into the characteristics of the Renaissance. One characteristics I can relate to the Renissance is the begining of the understanding of men's greatness, and men's potential. Secular spirit in a broader sense. Now, could this men's evil nature fit into this Renissance characteristic? It seems pretty opposite to me. Thanks.
