The mamlukes in Egypt were not associated with those in India.  The word just means slave.

Arabs, weren't they the ones who kicked the Mongols out of Egypt?

No mamelukes were Slave warriors imported from the Golden horde mongol dynasty, and other steppe peoples.

Arab wars with Turko-Mongols are the Arabs invasion of Transoxiania fighting the Turgish.Arab invasion of Khazars in caucasia.

Iran-Persian for their culture and similarness to Turkic people by the means of valiantness and war.
China for their sheer size and excellent knowledge of surviving a country over centuries and milleniums.

true. under ghengis khan most of the worlds turks united. what resulted was history's second largest empire. the only thing that stopped them were the mamelukes, who were also turks, and civil war. with the known world almost entire conquered the only enemies worthy of themselves WERE themselves. although it should be mentioned that they failed to take japan twice.

the thing about this poll is that all of the candidates were conquered and ruled by turks at some point.

lets see, the Gokturks(the weaker western portion only I might add) were beaten by the Sassanians in one battle, but it defeated the Sassanians in two. Persians are hardly their greatest enemies.
The Tang dynasty destroyed both portions of the Gokturk empire. I don't think its a hard question to conclude which sedentary empire is the Gokturk's greatest enemy.

The Mongols were defeated by the Mameluckes in one battle, yet their capital Karakorum was sacked by the Ming army and over 90 percent of them were eventually conquered by the Qing. Even today there is more ethnic mongols in China than in any other country, including Mongolia.
