About flags, why is the first Indian ship hosting a Polish battle ensign and jack, and a few pics below Kenyan?
Anyway, India still has a more blue-water-oriented navy than China, although I expect the Chinese will work on that. Aren't they building a carrier now?
India already has carriers though.

yes i know. in the fourth pic, there's a little green part on the flag.
china already has two aircraft carriers purchased from russia, and one purchased from australia, and they have the technology to build one on their own. these aircraft carriers are not in service with the pla navy with one converted into a theme park, and two stationed in the naval base.
however, they dun need it yet cause their main target is taiwan, which is too close to need an aircraft carrier.
chinese naval technology is superior to that of india actually.
Chinese aircraft carriers:
Actually, China and India did have a naval combat during the 60's boarder dispute, and the Indian navy was slaughtered.

"
The great Chinese aircraft carrier mystery (STI) Posted by Xiao Qiang at
The Straits Times (STI) published an article written by Anthony Paul today, about online rumours of Chinese aircraft carriers. It said: "Several websites refer to 'eyewitness reports' of three graving docks at Shanghai, each with carrier construction under way. First mention appears to have come in a lengthy report on the 'Strong Nation Forum' (Qiangguo Luntan), an Internet bulletin board run by the People's Daily Online. It quoted from an article in 'a Russian newspaper, The Independent', headlined 'China's future route to maritime dominance'.""
both china and japan do not have aircraft carriers in service now but they are both technologically and economically superior to india.
india's aircraft carrier was built in the 60's soon after it gained its independence from britain. in a real naval combat with a major power, it cannot create any sort of threat.

that first and second pic of the carriers are either the Minsk or Varyag...one of them i know has turned into some sort of casino in Macau....whilst the third one is just some amusement complex, not even a real ship. i'll be pretty disappointed if China built a new carrier looking like that.
too close for the need of a carrier? nice try mate.
you didn't even post any pics of Indian carriers...afraid it'll make the Indians look better than the chinese? You also didn't post any pics of the huge fleet of archaic Luda destroyers and Luhu frigates that's still the mainstay of the Chinese navy...
can i just beg you, coolstorm, to stop embarrassing other Chinese members in this forum by making vague amd unfounded claims? this carrier thing i see you are doing nothing but just spreading rumours...you're making me, as a chinese, look really bad.
Styrbiorn in his post was trying not to blow your cover...and you still don't know when to stop.
thank you Styrbiorn for your restraint...i rather have myself, as a Chinese...to uncover his plot than have a non-Chinese such as yourself to do it for us.

India aircraft carrier looks old and is not consistent with the modern standard. it was developed in the 60's. i was afraid that it would make the indians look ugly by posting it.
if u have some fundamental military knowledge, you can tell the inferior naval technology of the indian navy from the pic.

well...if you have any fundamental military knowledge at all you'd know that having an old soviet kiev class carrier with harrier V/STOL is better than China with nothing of this type at all...

not if it creates no threat whatsoever. india's aircraft carrier can be destroyed easily in a modern naval conflict.
even thailand has an aircraft carrier. do u think thailand can win over a naval conflict with its aircraft carrier against japan because it has an aircraft carrier and japan does not? i dun think so.
only with su30mk, 168,169,170,171, some kilo, and yuan class submarines, china can crush the entire indian navy.
"Meanwhile, China is also the first country to obtain naval RIF SAM". He stressed that with the rapid progress in military technologies, the overall technological standard of Russia's export arms to China will rise even further." from Kanwa: http://www.kanwa.com/free/2004/05/e0504%20956EM.htm

Chinese navy has better technology but Indian navy has more integrated frame.IN will have more power and influence when perform at open sea without support from land-base air.Chinese also have some advantages like we own a more independent self-supporting war industry than any of other Asian country. Our navy also have more potential to become a ture blue-water navy. |

"I mean the most modern Chinese anti-ship misile is C-803 in service, on 052C, it has active terninal seeker. And all the crap about indian "advanceness" why don't you go to globalsecurity.org and check the list of Chinese missiles?! if photoes appear of Chinese systems, then it IS already in service because PLA will not release pics of project still going on. that you can see all the latest ships is because they are all fully operational, you nutcase! you can see J-10 pics on the net because tehy are fully operational now. I mean some indians claim ships like 170 are "photoshop", yeah in their forum. They thought the same about J-10 and project 054 stealth frigates. I mean who are the nutcases with their lame SS-N-25 not even in service, so called "brahmos" = export version russian yakhont! And Chinese styx are way better than styx in indian service, you see the styx derivative carried by H-6 bombers... I mean indian navy is crap compared to modern Chinese navy! I give you a link... www.globalsecurity.org/mi...issile.htmI mean China is already busy with next batch of Aegis destroyers and you guys are still denying it's operational! "
