Like I said, he would not know what it was and would kill himself. But, if we assume that he does know, he would eventually lose by getting surrounded by soldiers and getting shot in the back.

So what if it has SABER in it. It does not mean that he would know how to wield it. You have to turn it on first. How the heck would all men around him miss. This is another one of those stupid "The Bullets Always Miss the Good Guy" stories.

Canada uses the English spelling for many words. You're right though as George Lucas who created the idea is American.  It should have read "lightsaber".

In all reality, the spelling does not really matter. Lightsaber or lightsaber does not make a difference. People will know what you are talking about.
