As far as I know Jews were one of the many peoples conquered by Romans. How did it happen, that all other peoples disappeared, but Jews are thriving all over the world, maintaining their culture and unique traits? Now, there is a religious answer - that God made them his favorite people, but I wonder, is there more secular answer? What was so special about their religion, history etc? Are there some good popular studies on this matter? |

| well, i just think that's because they, somehow, think differently from most people. i mean, they see things differently... but that's just my assumption, if there's an better answer (more documented one) I would really like to check it myself! |
