Most of it burned to the ground. Our daughter and husband live there. Been trying to get through to them since yesterday. Only news was from Facebook on Monday. They posted they had been out hiking and were not allowed to return home. ------------- "Arguing with someone who hates you or your ideas, is like playing chess with a pigeon. Got through to them just now. The condo they lived in is gone, but they are okay.

They were hiking up Rocky Top, by the time they got to the summit, a gentle breeze had turned to hurricane force, 80-90 mph. When they got off the mountain they found that everyone had evacuated. The fire was moving that fast. They found themselves "driving through a firestorm". The condo was a vacation home owned by his family, not their primary res. However everything that they brought with them was gone. But many others were not that lucky.
