Hi all. I'm doing a history project and was hoping to get some information from here. My research question is- "Did the urgency to leave east berlin symbolise the failure of communism?" Answers much appreciated!

am not so convinced in that idea. No offence, but East Europe has never
developed the communism, it was only socialism and both systems are completely different,
so in that light, the answer is "no". Also desire to leave the East block was not
driven by the governing system, but by governing people. I do not see today
anyone running away from China?!? It depends from people, if you have people
who want to kill you and take you all your properties, you will run off. If
not, you most probably will stay and will fight for your believes.... but I am sure that your teacher will not understand such a thease, if you try to develop it further  ------------- Everybody listen only this which understands. |

Teacher do not understand nothing in history from Napoleonic wars till now.Why?!?Killing is purpose for what improvement???

The purpose of killing is in protecting yourself, ensuring yourself and the easiest way to remove competition. It is always used during dramatic and huge structural changes - from the time of tribes in Africa until 21 century
