I have just watched the tv drama roots. and I have a strange idea, if a write a similar novel, but in a sci fi context, would you accept

the story would be set in 21 century , on earth, a a group of humans would be taken and enslaved by the alien, they would struggle to survive on the alien planet, through several generations, finally, they would get their freedom, and a great sage of humans on the alien planet would be created

Of course, it was totally a fiction, but it could get a kind of historical feeling and sense, but do you accept such approach, because it is a little bit of terrible, as human beings are enslaved

what is your opinion
