Ralph Roberts was the founder of Comcast. He started with a small regional "Community Antenna Service" in Alabama.

He was a visionary extreme. However, not to take anything away from his accomplishments, he was slow to pick up on the cable movement.

An old high school buddy saw the possibilities very early. Rising from a position as a Tech. Vince Ridikas became sole owner of Jones Cable, which he sold to Roberts. It became the platform for Comcast in the Northeast.
