I would like to know about the Ubaidians . These people who are thought to have migrated from the north of mesopotamia , possibly Assyria , and are thought to have evolved from the Samarra culture and then around 5500 BCE settled permenantly in Sumer , but i would like to know more about them like how the Ubaid period ended , that ultimately gave rise to the Uruk period .
I mean when historians say that the Ubaid period ended , do they mean that all the Ubaidians that had settled in Sumer died out or mysteriously dissapeared ??
In wiki it is written that the Ubaid period ended in the Oman peninsula , but nothing mentioned that it ended in Sumer or Mesopotamia . Im a little confused . In wiki its also written that  after the ubaid period ended , there was no sign of people or civilization for a thousand year . After a thousand year , the uruk period started. I have many more questions but first please help me with this  . Thanks :)
