I love a challenge. I've poked around a bit and my early findings are leading to: They were Honda XL 500 S models that were altered for the movie to look like BMW R75 in the chase. The one Indy & his dad were riding in was a Dnepr MT-11 (Russian) and made to look German. Preliminary findings, I could be off a bit. |

 The Pontiac GTO. This is a 1968 model. They first came out in 1964.
