Juan Luis Guerra, Dominican singer, is a very popular artist in Hispanic America and Spain. He has many songs of social contain. This one is about the Taino people that once lived in Dominican Republic and that were enlavished and exterminated by the Spaniards. Today Taino genetics still exist in Dominican Republic, and the rememberance of that ancient people and the torture they suffered is still sad in that beautiful island.

This song has lyrics in Taino, with a translation in Spanish at the end of the movie. You can also see the illustrations of the Spanish genocide comitted against the peaceful people of the ancient Caribbean.
