Over a long period of time, we have had problems with the current ranking system, including the ranking-titles (above the ranking stars).
The system is now re-designed, and it is no longer possible for the members to chose from a number of titles (this option was actually what caused the trouble).
Instead, the new system has 20 steps (earlier 5), and the system works automatically.
However, in making the new system, most members were de-graded by the software to the lowest rank, Immortal Guard - disregarding the post count.
We are trying to correct that manually - pheww
 - but please post here or tell a Moderator or an Admin if your title does not correspond to this list of the new system after a couple of days.Posts Title/Rank

It does not make sense to put Shogun there.
A shogun means general of the army.
In feudal hierarchy, the shogun is higher than all other nobles, and only technically subordinate to the emperor.

Is it possible to get a custom title/ranking? I assume that titles like "Lord High Master Of Everything And The Kitchen Sink" would be reserved for the higher-ups, but if it's possible to be something besides a colonel... ------------- Who is the great dragon whom the spirit will no longer call lord and god? Sure why don't yous all just decide what rank we all have on a popularity contest? The most popular just get titles like 'Constantine's favourite' or something... We could even have boogy titles like 'spammer supreme' or 'adds nothing but posts much'. Now that would be interesting. ------------- |

This is a minor point, but "earl" is actually a higher title than "baron". "Earl" is a British title, equivalent to the old continental European title of "Count". Here's the old European ranking system for nobility:
Squire/Squiress
Knight/Dame
Baron/Baroness
Viscount/Viscountess
Count/Countess (Earl/Countess)
Marquis/Marchioness
Duke/Duchess
Archduke/Archduchess
Grand Duke/Grand Duchess
Prince/Princess
King/Queen (Czar/Czarina)
Emperor/Empress ------------- Windemere |
