I like reading essays that are geared towards end of schoolers and college students. The journals on JSTOR are only accessible to members (I can use my colleges registration to use them) but they are written by historians for other historians, and are often extremely dull reads (I'm forced to read them for essays) What I like are essays which tackle a theme - ie, Franco-German relations since the Franco Prussian War to WWII which deals both with the bare events as well as the concepts behind the events in question. My question is whether there is an online database in the same mould as JSTOR but accessible to all, using the kind of essays I just described?
