Goharshad Turquoise Mosque (the largest four-terraced mosque in Iran)

Turquoise is a semi-precious stone, typically opaque and of a greenish-blue colour.

Suleymaniye Mosque (the largest and the most beautiful of all imperial mosques in Istanbul)

While they are both very stunning, I have always fancied the Suleymaniye Mosque.

İ prefer Süleymaniye, because it looks more simple than Turquoise.

I'm going with the Turquoise mosque. Aesthetically looks impressive.

Suleymaniye, as all Turkish mosques, is basically a Greek Orthodox church with minarets, while the Roman connection is far less certain in Iranian mosques. Both are certainly great buildings in their own right.

I prefer the Suleymaniye. Although it is not as extensively embelished on the outside as the Goharshad mosque and it lacks that beautiful turquoise colour. But then again it looks very imposing when you look at it from far away and works well with its environment. I also prefer its structure of composed of many domes of varying sizes. What is more fascinating is the brightly coloured inside when you look at the inside of the dome.
