Trouble is white knight, you have answered the questions (to your own satisfaction) before anybody has had a chance to consider or answer them. Who the hell is the mason? Does this come from some sort of game?

its philosophy and psychology kind of poll.  they say a buddha can see through an illusion right?  while a mason can is good at allegory right?  its more like an "allegory at the cave" with buddha looking at it.  who wins the illusion or the person seeing through the illusion.

What do you mean by 'win'? Who's keeping score?

let me give an example:

a zen, master would tell "that a tree is just a tree".
but a mason would say it is the celtic tree of life or the just a family tree or oak tree of odin or another meaning like the number 3.  so how can you say a tree is just a tree?

Wouldn't it just be easier to give them both knives and see which one survives the longest?
