There is alot of information on the strategic and tactical aspects of many of Napoleon's battles, such as Austerlitz and Waterloo, however i can't find any on the Battle of Acre. This is surprising considering how easilly accessible information on other Napoleonic battles are. If anyone has the general outline, or even better, every movement made, in the Battle of Acre, i would appreciate it. |

Try searching it as Battle of, or Siege of Akka (the Turkish name for Acre), or Akko ,another name used in literature..That may help.
As a very brief info; Napoleon seeked to step into Middle East from Egypt and therefore besieged Acre with his navy and army transported by navy. The Ottoman Nizam-ı Cedit(New Order) corps under Cezzar Ahmed Pasha defeated them. | The Ottomans did receive substantial help from the British however. The Ottoman army was trained in the model of the French army hiring experts. They easily won because the British almost always defeated the French and the fact Acre was so heavily defended with British guns that it was quite easy to repel the attacks. |

The British aided the Ottomans but it is not exactly in that way.
British just took over the French heavy siege cannons in the sea and has given some ship cannons to the Ottomans so Acre could be defended more efficiently.No direct battles between British and French at that time in that area.
There was no direct active help in the land, the aid was from the sea. Land fighting was done by the Ottoman troops..
Siege was not easy to repel..Napoleon has already taken Jaffa and Gaza using brutal methods towards civilians and Ottoman soldiers. Well, it was an effective aid, however I am not in a position to really comment, because I really don't know whether the siege would have succeeded if the French siege cannons have arrived, and what would have happened in that case. Then you can go on the basis of people involved.
