Of the twenty women who joined Yemen’s counter-terrorism unit (CTU), so far 13 have remained after the rigorous training. These are tough women. They are trained to enter a house by force, drive a military vehicle and shoot. As many male terrorists disguise themselves as women to avoid arrest or detection, these women of the CTU will be able to search any “women” they encounter on house raids.
