WoW! Am I promoted! I was away for a few days . When I logged in to AE History Forum today I noticed my sub title had changed to Commander. Good.I am aware I still have a long way to go .Yet; I thank the moderators or whoever is responsible for this. Regards |

Penelope the Queen Funny . I have just begun to notice the Stars , to count their numbers and even to wonder at their colours.(It appears the colour matters whatever be the context, sadly though.) I was not counting Stars earlier. Now I notice you have four Stars ..like the Four Star Generals of US army. I wonder what will you be next..a five Star wonder. Whatever be the numbers, a Queen is a Queen.I bow to you. Keep going. Regards |

Green is for moderators (someday I'll hopefully have green stars and maybe you will too

well...Admins r the creators of the forums...so they can add 1,000,000,000 posts points if they choose...but since we have this topic...i have one simple question to the Admins...what happen to the other forum ranks? I miss them...it is not hard to make more...I have made them myself in my old website.

At one point we could choose the nationality of the titles: British, Persian, Russian, Ottoman, etc. I used to be a general... However, now it seems that all of the titles are set to Persian, unless I am missing something in my member control panel. Was the control for the nationality of the titles removed, misplaced, or what? Or is everyone now perpetually using the Persian title system? Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of being a Sultan.  ------------- |

LIke most forums, there are "ranks" based upon the number of posts. For instance, with 2 posts for you, you are a "Royal Guard" and have 1 star. I have 341 posts, which gives me the rank of "Sultan" and 4 stars. It really doesn't mean anything other than a way to recognize who are the more experienced people on this forum.
Used to, we could choose the nationality of the ranks we were moving up (I would have been, in the English rank hierarchy, a "General" I think). That side of things is pretty meaningless but was interesting.

We would have liked for members to still have the ability to choose their own rank. However, due to a software issue in how the script is written that is proving difficult at the moment. If there are any positive changes in the near future we will let you all know. ------------- |

Wiki is as good as people make it. In general the info there is a good staring point. Being that there are checks and balances built into it people are bound to correct mistakes eventually. After the basics it is up to the individual to find other sources and retrieve even more information. ------------- |
