The Icelandic Coast-Guard with some assistance of the us-force has about 120 men. 3 Boats , a plane and some decript helicopters.

They may be a "police unit", but the Viking Team are actually quite elite and well trained...and able to fulfill the role of Special Forces.

Now, to all those who think lowly of the Icelandic Military, think again: The Cod Wars. That war is one of the reasons Iceland isn't a member of the EU till now.
Many icelanders have still reservations regarding certain EU Member-countries. -------------

From time to time there were and there are ambitions of different Icelandic parties to push the pro-eu movement, but just as well the opponents of the EU are right in front of the door.
Optimistic voices in the Icelandic media evaluate the earliest possible date of entry in 2014. -------------
